Guten Tag!
I got a haircut today! This probably isn't the best picture of it (or of me for that matter...), but if you compare it to any older picture of me on this blog, you'll notice the difference. My hair is longer and has a wavy messiness to it. I love it:)
Anypants, I'm back. After a long hiatus, I have returned. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. So far mine has been fabulous. Last week I hit up the American Apparel warehouse sale in NYC and got some amazing deals. They extended the sale so I definitely suggest checking it out. Pictures to comes of what I got plus some pictures of amazing Christmas gifts. So this is officially the restarting of my blog. I'll try my best to keep to a regular posting schedule.

Blogger Spotlight: Catherine from Silhouette Girl
For anyone who saw my I Heart Blogs post, you already know that I'm a big fan of this blog and I'm so glad that I was able to interview her. Catherine of Silhouette Girl is a teen with an awesome, laidback style. Read on to find out more about her and don't forget to check out her blog!
When did you start blogging and why?
I started on Chictopia in November 2008 out of boredom, and by February I started Silhouette Girl because I noticed that most Chictopia members also
When did you get interested in style/fashion and what sparked that interest?
I've always had some sort of interest in what I wear... for most of elementary school, I was very obsessed with wearing the color purple! I think that my interest was sparked by my aunt and grandmom - both would make frequent trips to JoAnn's, and I would tag along sometimes. I really enjoyed looking through the pattern books.
Describe your style in 3 words.
Simple, understated, casual
What is your favorite decade and why?
There's aspects of different decades that I like... the femininity of the 1950's, the freedom of the 1960's, etc.
What's on your wish list for fall?
I'm still not sure! There's a variety of shoes I want, but they always sell out in my size before I can contemplate buying them. I'm actually not a fan of shopping, so I probably won't even get around to purchasing too much.
Any plans to attend NY Fashion Week and/or the Chictopia10 conference this year?
Sadly, no! I was lucky last winter to attend NYFW as one of the winners of the Chictopia10 contest... and I was lucky to have a four-day weekend when it occurred. I'm too busy!
EDIT: Catherine is going to be a speaker at Chictopia10!!
What are your interests/hobbies (besides fashion)?
I really enjoy making (vegan) food, writing, drawing, painting, crafting, etc. I'm a creative person. And I have to admit - I'm quite a fan of the Spanish language!
If you could only shop at one store for the rest of your life, what store would you choose and why?
I usually find myself unimpressed by individual stores... but I'd have to say H&M. I appreciate smaller shops/boutiques, but if I could only shop at one store, it would have to have everything!

book: Harry Potter series... I'm a nerd! and I quite liked Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut
movie: Thirteen, 500 Days of Summer
tv show: Dexter!
color: it's still purple, I just don't wear it as much!
