As usual I'm stuck in the middle

Title comes from "Stuck In The Middle" by the Burning Hotels.

Once again, here are my fabulous wedges! I love these shoes so much! The dress is a really old one that I found out still fits me. The gingham print inspired me to go a little western with my tied denim shirt.

Well they say it's kinda frightnin' how this younger generation swings

Hey! Title's from "And The Crade Will Rock" by Van Halen.

I don't have an exciting outfit post today. Instead, I'd like to share another Couturious look. Couturious is so addicting! I love looking through all the wonderful clothes.

You're wearing out things that nobody wears

Aloha! Today's title is from "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith.

I love this tank top! It's so fun and flowy. The tie-dye is super cute and it's got some awesome studs on it. This bracelet is my mom's. She wasn't wearing it so she gave it to me. It's got this great raw-ness to it. :)

Wait when there's nothing left to waste

Hey! Title comes from "Evacuate" by the Boxer Rebellion.

Today I used the clutch that I won from Twitch Vintage again. I really love the way it looks with jeans. The rugged-ness of the jeans looks nice with the more girly clutch. The biker shorts are leggings that I cut. I'd like to get actual biker shorts soon (maybe the neon Americal Apparel ones). I've worn this necklace a lot before but never took a close-up picture of it. It's inspired by the old wheat pennies.

Soon enough we're reliving the past

Hey! Title comes from "Twice Is Too Much" by Exist.

This is a picture I took for yesterday but didn't find the time to edit until now. So no, I am not repeating an outfit. I'm sticking to the challenge I started here. What I really like about this picture is how the sun looks in the corner. I'm pretty new to Photoshop so I probably could've edited it better. Any experienced Photoshoppers have some tips for editing pictures? What do you like to do when you edit your pictures?

Oh happy day!!

Title comes from "Oh Happy Day" by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. It is very fitting because today is a wonderful day. Why? Because I have been looking for the perfect pair of strappy black flat sandals for a while, but haven't been able to find the perfect pair. I had fallen in love with a Deena & Ozzy pair, but wasn't sure about the almost $30 price tag (I'm very frugal). But as I was perusing the Urban Outfitters sale section online (which I highly recommend you do - they are having a huge sale right now!!), I found that the shoes I adored were on sale for $9.99!!! I got up from my chair and happy-danced around my room. :D Along with those shoes, I ordered a pair of floral shorts (originally $38, on sale for $14) that are super cute. I probably could've bought the entire sale section! At one point I had about $100 worth of items in my cart but slowly removed things because I didn't want to spend more than $30 (including shipping). Did I mention I'm frugal? haha. But seriously, check out the sale. There are some awesome deals!

Here are pictures from the Urban Outfitters website of my lovely purchases:

I was difficult to reach, but you picked me

Hey! Title is from "You Picked Me" by A Fine Frenzy. I know I promised to post yesterday and I was going to, but I fell asleep while editing these.

My outfit was kinda blah. This skirt is my go-to when I don't know what to wear or don't feel like thinking in the morning. I added some cheesy pins to spice things up.

You're lazy just stay in bed

Title's from "Lazy" by Deep Purple.

21 followers?? Thanks so much everyone! It may not seem like a lot, but it means so much to me :) I really appreciate every one of you amazing followers.
Sorry for my lack of outfit posts over the past few days! This is due to the fact that I've been incredibly lazy and haven't been changing out of pajama's. I promise I'll have a proper post tomorrow (hopefully, can't make any promises).

Before I end this post, I'll leave you with an outfit I created on Couturious. How amazing are these shoes? <3

You forgot but I remembered this

Title comes from "Stranger Things Have Happened" by the Foo Fighters.

These shorts are my mom's, but shes doesn't wear them anymore so she let me wear them. They are so soft and are such a pretty light pink color! They're a little big so I had to wear a belt to keep them where I wanted them to sit. (I used an old Limited Too belt haha) I cuffed the bottom because I wanted them a little shorter. The shirt I bought mainly because of the graphic on it. I love the NYC skyline.

School's out for summer

Today's title comes from "School's Out" by Alice Cooper. It's extremely fitting because today was my last day of school :)

I just bought this skirt yesterday. I was in Old Navy buy birthday presents for friends when I saw this skirt and fell in love with the pattern (which I included I close-up of). One of my favorite things about it is that it has pockets! I love when skirt and dresses have pockets! As for the rest of my outfit, I love my vintage oxfords and when I was getting dressed this morning I decided to have some fun with knee-high socks.

It was just my imagination running away with me

Hi! Today's title comes from "Just My Imagination" by the Temptations.

I love these boots but don't wear them enough. They're my mom's old combat boots. Not as comfy as Doc Martens, but they look similar. The necklace I'm wearing is one I got on sale at Urban Outfitters for $10. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering it comes with a main chain and then 3 others you attach to it so there's a ton of possible combinations. It's like getting a few necklaces in one! Today I wore only the chain with the clock on it. I have a strange love of pocket watches and the watch in it kinda reminds me of one.

I'm giving myself (and anyone else who cares to participate) a challenge to wear all the clothes in your closet (excluding things not suited for the current weather, like wool sweaters) without repeating anything. I feel like I have so many things I don't wear. So I'm going to try to wear everything; and if I come across something I've been holding on to but really don't want to wear, I'll get rid of it. Not only does this help rid your closet of unnecessary items, it also challenges you to try new ways of wearing things. Note that this is for clothes only. I will be repeating shoes and accessories. I don't have enough of shoes/accessories to not repeat them.

Blogger Spotlight: Robyn from Twitch Vintage

Today I bring you another interview! I'd like this to become a monthly thing. This month we have Robyn from Twitch Vintage. I've mentioned her on here a few times before. She's super sweet and runs her own Ebay shop (which is full of super cute items). Read on to find out more about the lovely Robyn and don't forget to check out her blog and store.

When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging on January 1st of this year. It was my only successful new year's resolution. (Patting myself on the back.) I started to promote my eBay store, and to connect with other bloggers. I treated it like part of my job at first, but have really come to enjoy it.

When did you get interested in style/fashion and what sparked that interest?
I didn't grow up with a lot of money. My mother taught me how to scour sale racks and thrift stores at a young age. Looking stylish while still being thrifty has always important to me. I don't think I really appreciated fashion, or had an honest personal style until after college though. Something about living without roommates to influence my closet, really made me look at clothing in a whole new way.

Describe your style in 3 words.
Vintage. Cheap (in a good way). Unexpected.

Tell me a little about your Ebay store. When did you start it? Why? Where do you find the things you sell?
I started my eBay shop 4 years ago. I was trying to earn a little extra cash during my last semester in college. After graduating I turned down my internship, and decided to just sell vintage full time. My parents were extremely supportive then, and have been ever since.

I buy all of my merchandise at local thrift stores, flea markets, and estate sales. I hem, do seam repairs, and am a stain removal master, but for the most part my stock can be credited to the abundance of vintage where I live.

What are your interests/hobbies (besides fashion)?
Bike riding, reading, slack lining, sewing, sleeping, beer drinking, and the occasional board game. Scrabble anyone?

What do you consider key pieces for summer?
Nautical inspired anything, the perfect floral mini skirt, Loose V neck T shirts, white sun dress, straw bag, floppy hat, and tan heels or flats.

If you could switch closets with one person, who would it be and why?
Realistically bloggers Megstatus or Zoe of Haiku Ambulance... Alexa Chung if this is pure fantasy. They all have such distinctive styles, but still manage to surprise you.

Name your favorite (or favorites):
books: The Odyssey, Invisible Monsters, The Bell Jar
movie: How To Steal A Million
tv show: It was Lost. Now I'm not sure.
colors: Gray or Yellow depending on my mood.

Let's go out tonight

Heya! Today's title is from "Out Tonight" from Rent. I love musicals. :)

So here's the first pair of shoes I got from Target. I needed a pair of black heeled sandals and when I found these wedges, I fell in love! They're pretty comfy, which is always a plus. They squeezed by little toe a little the first time I wore them, but after a few wears they loosened up.

This is another one of the scarves I mentioned here. This is my first time mixing prints. I think it went pretty well.

Good times, bad times, you know I had my share

Hey! Today's title comes from "Good Times Bad Times" by Led Zeppelin. I'm so sorry for not posting sooner! I'm a terrible blogger! I promise I'll try to post more regularly.

Here's one pair of shoes I got at Target. I wanted a pair of Keds, but I saw these look-alikes at Target  for much cheaper (only $9). They are perfect for summer. I was in need of a new pair of sneakers and these are cute and the design is super flattering. This is one of the vintage scarves I mentioned here. The bracelets are my moms. She hasn't worn them in a long time so she gave them to me. My bangles collection is growing :)

As you can see, along with the new layout I've started listing what I'm wearing in a new way. Like it? Hate it? Should I go back to the other way of listing it out?

I bought a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key

Hey! Today's title is from "Brand New Key" originally by Melanie, redone by The Dollyrots.

As you can see, I have a new layout! :) I really like it because it combines my two favorite colors: purple and lime green. Any feedback?

Yesterday I went to a yard sale and got there just as it was packing up so everything we discounted. I got 8 scarves and a scarf holder for only $1!! Is that a deal or what?

I also stopped by Target today and got two pairs of shoes which I will be debuting on here pver the next few days.

Finally, I just like to thank everyone who follows and/or comments on my blog. It means so much to me! When I started this blog, I didn't think anyone would read it, but people do! You guys are the best! <3

Those were the best days of my life.

Aloha! Today's title is from "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams.

I got this dress when I went to Hawaii 7-ish years ago. I recently found it again in my closet and thought it was perfect for a warm summer day. (And by warm I mean extremely hot. This weather is killing me!) I added the belt to give it shape and the vest to give it edge and to add my own style to it. In case you haven't noticed, I love this vest. :)

As to my purple streak, it came out as a darker purple than I wanted. You can't see it in the pictures because the streak was really small (so it could be easily hidden if it didn't look good) and it faded really quickly (even though it was supposed to be semi-permanent). I think I'm going to buy some Manic Panic dye and redo it plus add a few more streaks. Anyone with colorful hair dying experience care to share some tips?

Anyway, here's my outfit pictures. I finally mastered taking jumping pictures (cliché, I know, but still fun) with self-timer :)

-hand-me-down belt

P.S. I'm thinking about changing my layout. Any suggestions?

At times like these it's obvious

Hey! Today’s title comes from “Obvious” by Blink-182. Here’s an outfit post, as promised! I am dying a streak of my hair purple as I type this. If all goes well, I might dye my bangs too.

I recently bought this dress from Urban Outfitters. I love it! It’s so pretty and it’s got a great shape. It was on sale for only $20. That’s almost $40 off the original price! I love a good sale. I also bought a necklace on sale, although I’m not wearing it in these pictures. It seems like the only way I’ll ever be able to afford things from Urban Outfitters is if they are on sale. The regular priced stuff is so expensive (at least for my budget).
