Blogger Spotlight: Robyn from Twitch Vintage

Today I bring you another interview! I'd like this to become a monthly thing. This month we have Robyn from Twitch Vintage. I've mentioned her on here a few times before. She's super sweet and runs her own Ebay shop (which is full of super cute items). Read on to find out more about the lovely Robyn and don't forget to check out her blog and store.

When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging on January 1st of this year. It was my only successful new year's resolution. (Patting myself on the back.) I started to promote my eBay store, and to connect with other bloggers. I treated it like part of my job at first, but have really come to enjoy it.

When did you get interested in style/fashion and what sparked that interest?
I didn't grow up with a lot of money. My mother taught me how to scour sale racks and thrift stores at a young age. Looking stylish while still being thrifty has always important to me. I don't think I really appreciated fashion, or had an honest personal style until after college though. Something about living without roommates to influence my closet, really made me look at clothing in a whole new way.

Describe your style in 3 words.
Vintage. Cheap (in a good way). Unexpected.

Tell me a little about your Ebay store. When did you start it? Why? Where do you find the things you sell?
I started my eBay shop 4 years ago. I was trying to earn a little extra cash during my last semester in college. After graduating I turned down my internship, and decided to just sell vintage full time. My parents were extremely supportive then, and have been ever since.

I buy all of my merchandise at local thrift stores, flea markets, and estate sales. I hem, do seam repairs, and am a stain removal master, but for the most part my stock can be credited to the abundance of vintage where I live.

What are your interests/hobbies (besides fashion)?
Bike riding, reading, slack lining, sewing, sleeping, beer drinking, and the occasional board game. Scrabble anyone?

What do you consider key pieces for summer?
Nautical inspired anything, the perfect floral mini skirt, Loose V neck T shirts, white sun dress, straw bag, floppy hat, and tan heels or flats.

If you could switch closets with one person, who would it be and why?
Realistically bloggers Megstatus or Zoe of Haiku Ambulance... Alexa Chung if this is pure fantasy. They all have such distinctive styles, but still manage to surprise you.

Name your favorite (or favorites):
books: The Odyssey, Invisible Monsters, The Bell Jar
movie: How To Steal A Million
tv show: It was Lost. Now I'm not sure.
colors: Gray or Yellow depending on my mood.
